Hammerhead’s Bar & Grille is located inside the Sandestin resort area – in a village area called Bawtowne Wharf.

We will make another post about the village of Baytowne Wharf – but we’re focusing on Hammerhead’s for this one 🙂

Hammerhead’s (also called Popppy’s) not only is a good place for pub-style and fried food – but it also offers live entertainment and is dockside on the Choctawhatchee Bay. The dock features the Baytowne Wharf Fishing Pier that is free to walk – and large yachts are also docked in this area.

Hammerhead’s offers open air seating. There is an area under a roof that can be closed in for weather events. They also have a dining area on the patio under umbrellas.

What kind of food do they offer? Poppy’s in Destin has a variety of fried and steamed seafood, burgers, salads, cocktails, and a kid’s menu. Don’t forget to finish your meal with one of their deserts like a Key Lime Torte!
